The Olivenleder® used is tanned using purely plant-based agents. The tanning agent is obtained through aqueous extraction – similar to brewing tea – and then concentrated into a syrup-like extract. The active tanning agent is contained in the natural molecules of the olive plant and can also be found, for example, in classic »Extra Vergine« olive oil.
